Chapter 1
Year 2552
12 pods slammed into the ground randomly through out the field. The hatches released and 11 marines in regulation ODST armor jumped out. A single soldier in a full set of Mark V armor leapt onto the hard broken street. The soldiers immediately opened fire on the covenant that were near by. Tex walked down the stairs of her home. It felt odd without Alessa around anymore. Her pictures still hung on the walls. Alessa had moved out years ago. The picture of Alessa and Alex's wedding from seventeen years ago hung beside a smiling image of their then three-year-old daughter. It amazed Tex that Alana was already thirteen. Tex really was getting old.
Tex moved into the kitchen and took a deep breath, inhaling the scent of coffee. She didn't remember making coffee. She sat down at the table and opened her eyes to find a mug sitting on the table in front of her.
"You look like you had a good night's sleep." Church sat down at the tabl

Kathleen stood on the platform like a statue as the tech suited her up. The head technician paced before her, rambling on about the improved motion tracker and shield recharger. Kathleen wasn't really listening. She was running through the last month's events in her mind.
Reach had fallen on August 30th. They hadn't come directly back to Earth as expected. Instead, they moved from planet to planet for a month, taking care of Insurrectionists and Covenant on some of the inner colonies.
What was disturbing was that the reports had come in that the Pillar of Autumn had been lost somewhere and no
Church stood on the top of blue base. He was looking though the sniper rifle like he always was when he wanted to look like he was actually doing something.
"Hey Church, does it seem foggy to you?" Tucker asked. The teal soldier stood at Church's right side, staring out into the canyon.
Church was shaken out of his thoughts by the question. He looked around the canyon and noted the growing fog. "You're right." He frowned. "It's never been foggy here before." Every time something like this happened bad stuff started to happen that made no sense.
"Big deal, man. All this means is the Reds won't be able to find our base. They'll get lost in t

Richard A's squad evacuates the area in range of the jump drives unknown reaction. His squad is worried for his sake; meanwhile Richard begins to dissect the new proto- type jump drive. He knows that he has to be infallible in cutting and fusing the wires or else he could possibly destroy the island and everyone on it. The last time I'd heard of Omega's whereabouts, he had, in a way, taken Tex's body hostage and stormed out of the Freelancer Compound. I'd gotten word that a section of the Blue army had hired a Freelancer to finish up a job for them down in the Blood Gulch valley. I'm tracing that lead now, but at the moment I'm no where near their outpost on account of this hunk o' junk Warthog moving slower than it should.
As I tapped my fingers against the worn out steering wheel, my AI projected itself on the right of my line of vision.
"I suggest you relax, Regina," said Evee. "Your vitals are steadily rising. I also suggest that you ta

Tucker: Dude Wash has been in there for almost half-an-hour
Doc: I hope he's alright wherever he is.
Sarge: Ah he's just fine. He's a Freelancer after all able to handle the insane of situations...
Grif: Like what we get into on a daily basis?
Sarge: Shut up Grif.
Tucker: That's it I'm sick of standing here doing nothing. (Walks up to the vortex) I'm going in. Wash was starting to be cool and I'm not messing out on that o
